Abstract

In January 2016 Jawa Timur experienced inflation of 0.65 percent. Of the eight cities of CPI in East Java, all citiesexperiencing inflation. The highest inflation was in Surabaya by 0.73 percent, followed by KabupatenBanyuwangi 0.67 percent, 0.65 percent Sumenep, Malang 0,58 percent, 0,49 percent Madiun, Kediri of 0.47 percent , Jember by 0.43 percentand the lowest inflation occurred in the town of Probolinggo of 0.42 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups of expenditure inflation and a group of experienced deflasi.Kelompokexpenditure spending is experiencing inflasitertinggi foodstuff by 2.36 percent, followed by food, beverages, cigarettes andtobacco by 0.74 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel and clothing respectively by 0.67 percent, health by 0.50percent, and education, recreation and sport 0.09 percent. Whereas expenditure groups experienced deflation is a group oftransport, communications, and services keuangansebesar 1.03 percent.
