Abstract

In December 2015 Jawa Timur experienced inflation of 0.85 percent. Of the eight cities of CPI in Jawa Timur, all citiesexperiencing inflation. The highest inflation was in Surabaya of 0.94 percent, followed by 0.89 percent Malang, Banyuwangiamounted to 0.80 percent, Kediri by 0.79 percent, 0.77 percent Sumenep district, Madiun at 0, 59 percent, Kota Probolinggoby 0.41 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Jember by 0.39 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups of expenditure inflation, an expenditure group experienced deflation, and onegroup did not change. Expenditure groups with the highest inflation is foodstuffs at 2.94 percent, followed by food,beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.55 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.45 percent , the health group by 0.37 percent, and the group transport, communications, and financial services by 0.36 percent. Group expendituredeflation is the clothing group by 0.42 percent and expenditure group that does not change is the education, recreation,and sport.
