Abstract

  • In March 2016 Jawa Timur experienced inflation of 0.04 percent. Of the eight cities of the CPI in Jawa Timur, six cities experienced inflation and the two cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in the town of Kediri by 0.09percent, followed by the City of Madison by 0.08 percent, 0.07 percent Jember, Surabaya of 0.06 percent, 0.03 percentBanyuwangi, Malang and amounted to 0 , 02 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Sumenep by 0.27 percent and the lowest deflation was in Kota Probolinggo 0.08 percent.
  • Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups of expenditure inflation and deflation are two groups of expenditure.Expenditure groups with the highest inflation in the clothing category at 0.68 percent, followed by food, beverages,cigarettes and tobacco by 0.37 percent, health 0.27 percent, foodstuffs by 0.09 percent, and education, recreation and sport0.07 percent. While groups of expenditure that deflation is a group of transport, communications, and financial services by0.44 percent and housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.06 percent.
