Abstract

Exchange Rate Fishermen (NTN) of Jawa Timur in February 2016 rose by 1.85 percent from 106.33 in January 2016 became108.30 in February 2016. The increase is due to NTN index of prices received by fishermen increased by 1.40 percent while the index of prices paid fishermen decreased by 0.44 percent.

Ten major commodities that experienced the largest increase in the index of prices received by fishermen is tuna, flying fish,tuna, anchovies, fish oil sardine, swanggi fish, squid, prawns, pomfret, mackerel and fish. While ten key commodities that experienced the largest drop in the index of prices received by fishermen is kuniran fish, crab, fish layur, mullet, mackerel,catfish, fish-knives machetes, tuna, stingrays, and shellfish.
