The Development of CPI / Inflation in Jawa Timur in May 2016

Abstract

In May 2016 Jawa Timur experienced inflation of 0.14 percent. Of the eight cities of the CPI in Jawa Timur, all citiesexperiencing inflation. The highest inflation was in Sumenep by 0.31 percent, followed Jember, Malang and Probolinggo cityrespectively by 0.15 percent, 0.13 percent Surabaya, Banyuwangi and Kota Kediri respectively 0, 12 percent, and the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.06 percent Madiun.

Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups of expenditure inflation and deflation are two groups of expenditure.Expenditure groups with the highest inflation in the clothing category at 0.94 percent, followed by food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.60 percent, health 0.55 percent, transport, communications, and financial services by 0 , 21percent, and education, recreation and sports by 0.10 percent. While groups of expenditure that deflation is a foodstuff by 0.47 percent and housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.02 percent.
